Unable to find tenant to share adapted house - so facing eviction

Hi, my son is a wheelchair user CP has supported living in a super two bedroom house, wheelchair adapted, very close to both nature and a town. The other person moved out nearly two years ago and neither the council or the agent have been able to find another tenant. It's not financially viable for the agent and they want to start the eviction process and give the house up.
The support company can move him to another house so he won't be homeless. But it's his home and he will be extremely distressed to leave it. I cannot understand how they have not found anyone to even look at it in all this time. Forcing him to move out will cause him so much emotional distress, but the agent is losing money.

Good morning @Sunnyanne.
I'm sorry your question hasn't been answered. This sounds like an upsetting and worrying time. I know sometime has passed, but I wanted to get in touch to see what the current situation is for you and your son.
I've included the link to the Disability Law Service for you to read through. They provide free legal advice for disabled people in a number of areas, including employment, community care and housing. It might be helpful for your son to have this support.
I've also included the link to Habinteg who are a registered housing association provider. They promote accessible homes and communities. I understand your son won't be homeless as the support company could move him elsewhere, but this housing provider might have some good alternatives or offer some reassurance.
I've included the link to Shelter just for information.
Please let us know how you are both getting on.
Kind Regards.

Thank you Sara and thank you for the links.
We were just informed yesterday that no tenants can be found and he will have to move out.
