My daughter started receiving Carers Allowance last November as she looks after me. Everything was fine until two weeks ago when the allowance stopped with no communication as to why.
She works three half days a week doing domestic cleaning and gets paid cash which she takes into town to put in the bank. Since the weather has been so bad latel, once or twice, to save her doing this, I have transferred the amount into her account and she has given me the cash. Would this have been picked up and be the reason it has been stopped?

Transferring her money wouldn’t be the reason why it’s stopped.
Do carers allowance know she’s working? The maximum earnings limit when claiming carers allowance is £151/week. If they don’t know then she should have told them and this could be why it’s stopped.
Either way she will need to ring them because this is the only way to know for sure exactly what’s happened.

yes, they do know she works, she gave them all the information they needed, and she earns much less than the limit. She has phoned them three times but was not given any information just told she would either have a phone call, or letter eventually. I don’t understand what could have happened as they had all the information they needed and were quick to award the allowance.
