Hi, my name is Abigail8! DWP think I can work in the future, sick of their tricks.

Hi, I'm Abigail, with sensory, mental and physical disabilities. Apparently, I'm ill now, but the DWP think I can work in the future. That was in a letter they sent me. Are they psychic? Fighting three DWP cases at once. They write the most presumptuous nonsense, all in their favour. Yet everything we claim, must be backed by medical evidence. Sick of their tricks a nd reading their lies.

Hi @Abigail8, I'm really sorry you're struggling with the DWP, it's never easy. Have you got any support with the cases that you're fighting at the moment?
I hope the community can be a place of support and advice if you need it 😊

Hi Rosie,
Many thanks for your reply,
Scope gave me a Law Centre to contact but after the initial call, I haven't heard back from an email, so I'm chasing them up.
Scope also gave me the names of organisations for an advocate. Only Voicability are in my area. Amazingly, they don't deal with financial matters, including the DWP, but are potentially taking me on.
Scope are good for questions and the board shows you are not alone in how the DWP are treating you.
Best
wishes,
Jemima

I'm really glad you've got some people on your side and I hope you hear back from the law centre and Voiceability soon.
I'm sure our members would be happy to help if you did have any questions or just wanted to chat about anything. Lots of us have been through similar experiences, so you're never alone in what you're going through.
Fingers crossed you can bring your cases to a close soon and get the results you're hoping for 😊
