Being Your Authentic You

What I think is difficult for many people regardless of disability or not, is to be their authentic selves. I think many of us aren't able to be our authentic selves because of fear and our negativity towards ourselves. We don't treat ourselves with respect and therefore we drag ourselves down and our negative choices become dictated by our negative feelings, which in-turn leads to the negative results we incur.
I reckon young people are so confused and struggling enormously with mental health problems because they've been dragged into adulthood and difficult experiences, and we don't know how to contend with these, unless we're shown the way and our negative experiences strengthen us to avoid these problems.
I've always been kind and I always want to be happy and fun-loving. However, along the way these values have been challenged by other people's behaviours, which clouded and threatened to change who I really am. I made mistakes and tripped over myself because I didn't shine my values out there and allowed other people's negative behaviour to get in the way of me. This is why it's important to get rid of people who don't serve you however you can because these people will drag you down and corrupt you.
I hope that people on this forum find their way through difficulties beyond your medical conditions. You are all stronger than your medical conditions. I believe I'm stronger than my Hydrocephalus because I've overcome supreme challenges over and over, but I'd rather help others than boast about anything-though if you'd rather do the latter then you do what you want to no matter what people may think.

Hi @JD_INCINERATOR thank you so much for sharing. This really resonated with me. Especially with how the world has changed i.e. technology and social media being so accessible and not always providing the most healthy environment for us.
Best wishes,
