GREEN POWER MOBILITY SCOOTERS, TOXIC

Hi, I am the unfortunate owner of a Green Power mobility scooter. It first went wrong early September 2024, two weeks out of guarantee! The fualt I had was that when I put the lever into drive and turned the ignition on all I got was the sounder that sounds when you turn it on without first putting the drive lever into drive mode and the scooter would not move. This is when I made a big mistake and called Green Power. They agreed to come in two weeks time but I had to pay for 1/ call out charge £95 2/axle and motor £195 3/ £25! I protested that it wasn't the motor. As an ex vehicle specialist in the army I do have a bit of knowledge on vehicles, I admit to not having dealings with mobility scooters as the army didn't have much call for mobility scooters. Nevertheless I paid up. When the driver came some weeks later after looking at the scooter and then contacting his office he said it was the controller to which I said I doubt it as I believed it to be a loose connection. Someone came a few weeks later with a controller he fitted it and said its not the controller as it made no difference. He took the scooter away and a few weeks later someone returned the scooter saying that it was the controller! Which I knew to be untrue. Anyway I had it back at last except that I found that the handle used to manhandle the scooter was loose, no screws fitted I later found that a number of screws were missing making it unusable again. After another few weeks someone came to put it together but couldn't fit the handle as it had been crossthreaded! So I was still unable to use the scooter. It took many weeks of me phoning them before the handle was obtained and a week or so later someone came and fitted the new handle. I found that the scooter intermittently stopped and then would start. After turning it off and on it wouldwork again. Then a couple of weeks later I'm back to the original problem and no scooter. This is now the 26th of February.
Rhe, the Service Manager, told me Green Power mobility scooters will not agree to fix it unless I pay again!!!

Hi fozzy, I'm having similar issues with greenpower, firstly I sent them a video of my scooter, the zt500 clicking when it's in 8mph mode and they sent me a reply stating all the parts I needed to fix it would be 717.00 plus call out a total of 837.00! Then on Thursday I had to brake hard and the rear cable snapped, I checked online to see the only part listed was 29.00 plus free delivery but curiosity took over and I rang them to see if they just sold the wire sections to which they said no and because I was fitting it myself it would be an extra 10.00 delivery yet delivery is free online.…seems they are ripping people off or attempting to. I've been looking on gov.uk for their directors details to file formal complaint but no such email exists for their director Jill Mellor.
