Thought I would post my recent experiences

Dear All,
I've seen so many many posts of the dreaded move to UC that I thought I'd post my recent experiences… although not completely over yet!
I was IR ESA Support Group, Housing Benefit for years, I received the UC migration notice in Nov 2024. I wasn't aware of anything of this nature & it really made I'll with worry not sleeping, I started to look up help or disabled sites for information relation to my situation…. Scope is the only site that covered all the ins and outs of each case. My situation being very complex and only found out I was in both IRESA & CBESA, the letters always made it out IR only. I filled my online form in online which was quite easy although I had a family member sat whilst I did it. I completed the ud checks online then my account was created that day…. I got notifications to update certain bits like tenancy agreement Passport Driving Licence then I put a note in my journal that "I am in the support group ESA & will not need to send sick notes" A couple of days later a agent put this there not to worry. They need to wait for ESA to send files over. I then had a message appointment in the Journal saying I had a telephone appointment to discuss ESA & UC. This was just yesterday. In between this I had a letter saying IR ESA is going to paid via UC & I'm also being moved to New Style ESA as I was paying both IR CB. I think this is where people worry as it's not clear until you move to UC that you paying both. I actually rang ESA & they told me IR only, I was also let down by the cab & helpline they didn't have a clue regards my situation, it's only this site Scope, that helped me to understand what was actually happening and the likely outcome .
I just wanted to put some UC migration experience from my perspective so people in the unknown know what to look out for. Again this site has been the best I can't say thank you enough it's been you at Scope that got me through all this.

also to add if your worried about going to the JC or can't you can put a note on your Journal to request a reasonable adjustment like I did for a telephone call hope this helps!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience and for the kind words @tealhoneydew16 I'm hoping the transfer to UC can be a bit more streamlined for people in the future!
