Hello sam85,
This is how it worked for me and I believe is fairly standard. Sorry, I know that sounds like there are variations but there are so patience is a virtue.
- Received my text this morning saying I was awarded and a letter with information would be due in two weeks.
- I called them on PIP number to ask how much; when payment due. I found this out by simply calling PIP number, pressing 2 for queries about new claim and the automated system told me how much PIP I would get on my payment date. I needed to go through security questions, also automated.
- I called again to speak to a human so I could request the report. A caseworker confirmed when I would get backdated payment and was not able to tell me what level (standard or enhanced) I'd got as he said he didn't have that information. My report will be sent Royal Mail 2nd class and he said wait ten days then call if still not got. Do wish they'd email instead .
- So, that was it for me.
- I hope you are happy with your result and above helps.
