Joint claim to single claim

hi there
I had a joint claim on Universal Credit with my now ex partner. I’m currently waiting for my 1st payment on a single claim. For proof of housing costs, my landlord wrote a letter for me explaining how much rent I pay etc, but he only put my name on the letter. I think I may have an untidy tenancy but I don’t really understand it. I have wrote on my journal I may have an untidy tenancy but after over a week, I’m still waiting for a reply.
Because I don’t know how much money I’ll receive, I wanted to apply for an advance so at least my rent was covered for another month. I was told I’m not eligible for an advance because my payment date hasn’t changed, even though my ex could apply for an advance and her payment date hasn’t changed either. I owe 6p on 4 budgeting advances and was told I could maybe apply for one of them after I’ve paid of the 6p on each budgeting loan. I do receive lcwra. I suppose my question is, is it correct that I can’t apply for an advance and can anyone tell me what I’ll likely receive as my first payment?
Thank you

You should be able to claim for an advance, it is unusual that you are being refused. How soon is your payment date? An untidy tenancy is where you and your ex-partner are both listed on the tenancy agreement but your ex-partner no longer lives in the property and is no longer liable for the rent.
