That's me up s**t creek without a paddle, I Been in work related group for years ,don't know why as my doctor agreed, I cant work due to severe anxiety disorder, hadnt a WCA for about 12 years, tho filled out a ESA50 at the end of September, suppose my only hope is they put me in the support group, when re assessed, if I get to be reassessed before they scrap it ? 😢😢😢

(Watched Tyler Perry’s ‘The singles mom club’ film last night 😂)

Lmao. You removed three short statements that stated Keir Starmer's track record that you can widely find with a simple google search, which supported my claim. That's not "uncivil" nor did I insult WhatThe.
You're right that he had nothing to do with those cuts. But what he does next is on him. He spent more time fighting the left than anything benefiting disabled people.
Also the disabled community didn't stop paying attention. If anything, the disability community have gotten more politically active in recent years.

I wish I could share your optimism.

The key to the green paper to look out for is the word "engagement", they want everyone to engage is some way, shape or form.
For example - (Peter who is out of work due to a disability) "has replied to a message from your work coach in your Universal Credit journal, you have fulfilled your commitments". The message would be a heads up, how you are, how you feel, voluntary offers of training would most likely be on the table, most likely online training courses, it will all be a box ticking exercise.
Case and point if you can't work, you can't work, how many times does Starmer need to get that?

You know it's bad when even IDS of all people, say that the government are going too far with plans for cuts!

"The detail of the plans will be unveiled next week by Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall"
They are determined to push this 😥

When Ed Miliband was Leader he gave a speech about just meeting someone and "clearly able to work", at the time his comments were nothing short of disgusting, then the Tories
focused every speech on "hard working people" then "working people" and Labour use every single speech to say the same, Does this mean non hardworking/working people dont bother voting Labour again?
what Reeves wants will never happen not because of the fiscal rules they cannot talk #brexit
and the impact that's having will mean the level of Growth she needs the only avenue is savage cuts, they have learned nothing from 2010 when the Condems decided on the same policies.
Not once have they said in speeches about the upcoming cuts long covid and the NHS
are clearly main factors in increased claims, Its all spun as people either unable to work
owing to not enough support or people not wanting to work owing to a bit of "stress"
her comments about taking the mickey tell us exactly her views.
They have a duty of care to make sure EVERY single speech they keep telling people there will be sick/disabled people who can never work, need the support PIP gives because the alternative is local councils imploding and these people being in terrible trouble.
Sounds Dramatic at the moment but unless MP's learn the lessons from 2010 and tell the Govt they cant support these cuts then the same outcome awaits many of them.
You cannot call these "reforms" when they key objectives are savings, they are all acting so superior over assisted dying bill. what on earth is this level of stress doing to people already with huge issues?
Imagine a Minister catching a tummy bug the normal meds not working do they go ahead give that speech and soil themselves live on TV or do they cancel? I think we all know
utterly shameful and flies in the face of everything Labour was created.

Hi Meg it's taken me 40 years to get a diagnosis and I knew something like this was going to happen so last year I made the decision to ask the psychiatrist to put my diagnosis on my GPs medical records , I have suffered anxiety and depression all my life and I am diagnosis with EUPD and PTSD
I really didn't want to be labeled but I knew this curropt government was up to something
Please ask your GP to send you to a MH service for a diagnosis explain to your doctor that you need to diagnosis
IIt's Disgusting I'm having to tell you to do this but we need to fight for our MH xx
I just got awarded my pip too for cancer and I had 2 failed hip replacements , I'm in chronic pain too and it seems like they are targeting this group too , how they think we can go looking for work is just unbelievable
I'm so worried like everyone else
Take care at this horrible time

My personal opinion is if you have an existing award it will remain that way until it is due to end but my award ends next year.
I think it will effect people like me and new claimants.
Just my thoughts.

Here's a Telegraph article via MSN, of course the Telegraph love this but it's worth taking onboard. Define "minor mental health problems"? This will have legal ramifications because we're going into what is a disability aren't we? You cannot bar people from claiming incapacity benefits.
It will be interesting to see how "Minor mental health problems" gets defined within a legal context.

if this is true then it just shows that labour nor the telegraph have any idea what they’re talking about as you can’t get Pip for minor mental health problems anyway. I tried to apply recently as my mental health affects me daily, I can’t make phone calls, I don’t have any friends, I can’t socialise, I have breakdowns, i get so exhausted from a 5 minute interaction it takes me 2 whole days to recover, I become suicidal at any hint of stress. Is that minor? I wouldn’t say so. Under the equality act I am classed as disabled. I still got rejected for PIP so this article literally is just ridiculous and if this is labours plans then they are ridiculous too.

Exaclty!
thats all we heard from angela rayner, to end all poverty! well that aged well.
liers the lot of them.
I have even heard liz kendal is not happy with these cuts, perhaps going a bit to far.

But this was from daily mail source so may not be accurate about liz kendals thoughts, i just wish they would bring out the green papers now and put us out our misery!
Again this won't happened fast once they are announced well for current claimants anyway.

This is true, but only if they are tested, they can attempt to ignore the law, and will only be held to account if the community is prepared to take them to court.

possible plans to crack down on the appeals process . Apart from the MR which is decided by the DWP the only other appeal is tribunal. Unless as was found in my case the tribunal erred in law . I can’t see them getting away with scrapping appeals.
