Thanks for the reply @apple85 its much appreciated. I just hope more people realise that if they do plan on cutting LCWRA then that could potentially be alot worse for people than a PIP freeze which is why I am not surpised the media and some politicians are making a big deal about the PIP freeze being cancelled! I am still puzzled why so many seem more concerned about the PIP being frozen though and I dont mean that in a bad way btw.

I think this could be down to various reason such as this example, I told my other half about the potential changes and asked her what she would choose, a cut in LCWRA or PIP freeze and she said cut to LCWRA as she wants her PIP left alone, so I again explained it to her and she said she would be worse off if they froze her PIP as she assumed "freezing it meant stopping it!" Once I explained it was just in regards to the uplift every year and the math of how much she would lose she clicked on and said PIP all day long!

Tomorrow will be an interesting day and with some of the politicians who spoke today saying wait until the green paper is out as people might be less worried after its out then I do wonder if a cut is not on the cards for current claimants because if it is then how could people not worry even more so?

    Thanks again

I'm so scared this evening. I think it's the LCWRA issue that's the most troubling. I hope we can all sleep well and get through tomorrow morning. Love to all.

At the time I was on a long waiting list with a charity for trauma therapy and they had people there who helped with PIP forms. I was in a right state about it but my support worker spent a lot of time with me over a few meetings going through my day and all my issues and illnesses and literally wrote down reams on the form, everything I said and even small things I probably wouldn't have thought to put on the form myself. I also would not have been able to physically write that much myself and get it all in order in my brain with all the brain fog etc. I feel very lucky as apparently that charity has now lost all their funding and have had to make loads of cutbacks so if it had been this year I would not have had the help so I am so grateful for that.

There isn't enough Jobs that is backed up by the figures. They have already cost people jobs their Jobs and we still have lots of places closing 5 years after Covid.

That is what is troubling me too. The fact all the criteria may change and we could be put in a work related activity group. It is worrying me why there hasn't been too much said about LCWRA and I am wondering why.

Exactly this. I'm worried the focus on the PIP freeze is overshadowing the more worrying parts, the cuts and reforming the criteria so it's harder for anybody to get help in the first place. That makes me even more worried they'll push the rest through and say "well at least we didn't freeze PIP".

I know and thats why the government are living in cloud cuckoo land if they are really that stupid to assume they can suddenly drum up jobs that don't

Yep If they filled up all the available positions with jobseekers alone They would still be short by about a few hundred ☺

They were also cheering on their own AI plans, and AI is useful for some things but it's also taking a lot of jobs. Many of those jobs were ones that some disabled people might have been able to try working from home too. Then on top of them making it harder everywhere else so businesses are hiring less anyway. They are clueless.

Knowing we have similar conditions and knowing the impact it has I am sure you should be getting longer than that. When I first applied I got a three year award.

He is spot on. I have ties to other parts of Europe and this is a unique issue with UK.

Let's not forget why it's like that Politicans and their msm arm

Yes they will have been given the figures .

It's all about Cuts but dressed up in flowery Political language like "Helping disabled back into work" ☺

It's not the only uniquely British attitude that's so toxic and harmful. The way this country is hostile towards the EU and trans rights are both unique within European. Oh and the systemic classism and serfdom. It's vile.

Hi All, can anybody help me and explain about SARS please? Thinking of everyone in this awful time.

I'm shocked people who are vulnerable can be treated this way.
