Managing direct payments
Hi
So i have been approved for DP and had the financial assessment but the social worker at the council has said that they will now pass the referral onto people plus who will contact me about DP set up etc.
As far as i have read online about them they will manage everything on my behalf is this correct?
They have soo many bad reviews online in regards to not paying pa’s or paying them late etc
Will they be the ones who pay my pa?
Can i not be given another option to manage the money myself and pay my pa?
I dont want to keep chasing them to pay the pa ..

Hi @firat94 sorry you've not had a response to this yet. I've not had any dealings with them myself so unfortunately I can't advise but I hope that's not the case if that's who's dealing with your caring needs. Have things moved on since you posted this?
Best wishes,
