You're very welcome. ๐
Thank you for your very kind reply. I really do feel that I've come to the right place by joining this community! ๐ค
It sounds like you're doing the right thing considering how you feel mentally about your life by putting on such a positive post for us all and giving me such a lovely reply. ๐
Do take care of yourself and try to stay as positive as you can. I try my best to see the good side of life too and I know how hard it is to do. As you obviously seem to know it really is well worth it, whatever your feelings are. ๐
I hope to hear from you soon, keep up the good work! ๐

@jul1aorways I hope you have a really lovely day, the weather is nice here. Bit of thunder on Sat evening, I always say to my dogs 'ooh they're having a party' when it's noisy or they're frightened, that seems to cheer them up. Might play them some Ella Fitzgerald to distract them as they like her. Said it this morning as roofers next door so hoping they finish early so we can go in the garden ๐ . Take good care whatever you're doing.

And thank you for your lovely post @jul1aorways

Thank you for your post, it's helped me to look forward to today more than I did. ๐
You are obviously an animal lover like my partner and myself. We have a cat and a dog. ๐๐I'm the cat person, he's the dog person!
The weather here is just dull today but it's good to see our big shrubs in the back garden blooming (one yellow and one pink) and hear birds singing. I think that you must have the really lovely weather that we have had recently. ๐
I hope those roofers next door soon finish the job altogether. I don't envy you! I do hope that you and your dogs can get into the garden today. ๐ค
I wish you all the best whatever you do today and it's good to hear from you again. ๐

My roof was replaced I think c 2 weeks ago and my dogs were surprisingly quite good, played a lot of Elvis for them which I don't really like but they do ha ha. There's a thread on here National Puppy day where people are posting photos of their pets (they don't have to he puppies). I'll let you get on with your day sorry i can talk for England ๐คฃ

Don't worry, I like being talked to! ๐
I'm glad your dogs were good and despite the noise you got a new roof ๐ก
After a long fight with the Housing Association, we finally seem to be underway for having replacement UVPC windows for old, worn out wooden ones and for our far too expensive to run night storage heaters we are having a much more energy efficient, up to date replacement. About time too, the house is 25 to 30 years old! ๐ฎ
Thank you for telling me about the thread for National Puppy Day. I'll have a look at that. Our Jack Russell is 2 although I've got photos of when he was a puppy. You said pets, not just dogs so I could look out a photo of our 11 year old cat.
Take care and I hope to hear from you soon ๐ Do enjoy your day.

If going on a tangent helps clear your mind of racing thoughts, why consider you โmust do betterโ? If it works for you, thatโs what matters. When I go on a tangent, I feel a big sigh of relief and a huge weight lifted off my chest !๐

I hope that you're feeling as well as you can. ๐
The weather is brighter than it's been here. I'm upstairs in bed (I've a bed downstairs too.) In the morning I always have to spend time getting myself to a point with the chronic fatigue where I have enough energy to get ready so I can go down to my partner and our cat and dog.๐๐A good time to write some posts though! ๐
I'm going to watch the Spring Statement this afternoon. ๐ Apparently we are going to get impact statements on what the cuts are going to be, including for the disabled. I wonder how honest they will be about that. ๐ค Not very, I would have thought.
However, on a more optimistic note, how are you and what are you likely to do with your day? ๐
It will be nice to hear from you. ๐

Hi I thought the spring statement is on tommorow

Aw thanks very much I've been peering out of window for the last 2 hrs looking out for tesco delivery as have to get dogs in crates it's all a bit of a palaver. It's been and gone now so going to settee very soon to watch Emmerdale and Coronation street.
I'm hoping for a bit of peace today. 5 people knocked unexpectedly yesterday 1. A roofer mithering (to be fair he was going to sweep up at back so grateful really but dogs were yapping their wotsits off giving me a headache. 2. A Virgin salesman trying to sell me broadband ๐ฌ 3. A neighbour with my letter posted to her in error 4. The postman trying to give me a parcel that's for someone else not me ๐ and finally a man trying to squeeze leaflet re gutter cleaning into letterbox that's sealed up (I've a post box outside). I gave him a bit of a flea in the ear (well actually i nearly screamed ๐) by then poor man. I'd been trying to sleep all day there was no chance. The guttering man came at 315pm which I had candles burning for mum and dad anniversary of dad passing at exactly 315pm so his timing was pretty off. I might put a note on door today saying do not knock im on a tel appt. I've got to laugh otherwise I'll cry !! Aw I hope you have a great day and it's not exhausted you reading this ! Wes Streetings on at 1130 BBC Parliament and I think RR Spring Budget is tomorrow but I'll check. It's spitting here, I'll feel like spitting tomorrow at RR ๐. you take good care I'm going to move to settee and not move again ๐๐คฃ

Hi. Your're quite right! ๐คฆ I'm glad you pointed that out. I shall have to put that down to my brain fog with ME/CFS. I make quite a lot of mistakes because of it. I know it's not my fault but I do find it frustrating! ๐คท

I will be watching it and obviously I'm not looking forward to what may be in store for us.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Our Tesco delivery is due tomorrow. My partner prefers to try to keep our dog in order while he gets the shopping in but he doesn't always succeed. ๐
I'm glad you've got the attitude that you would laugh rather than cry! ๐ฎ What a problem you've had with people at the door! I must admit to chuckling to myself while reading that though. I hope you don't think I'm awful. The part where you said it was 3.15 and you were burning candles for your Dad and Mum was very bad timing, I do agree. However I really did laugh when you mentioned the dogs wotsits. ๐๐
The Spring Statement IS tomorrow at 12.30. I feel like doing something worse than spitting at Robber Reeves when she comes on. ๐ก I believe they are going to give impact assessments too, one of them being for the effect the cuts are going to have on us. I don't think our assessment, in particular, is going to have very much to do with the truth. However, what do you expect from the likes of Reeves. ๐ค
I hope you're feeling better for a rest and you've had some peace and quiet since. I'm feeling better today than I've done for a few days, which is good. I'll see how long it lasts. ๐

Yes I will be watching the Spring Statement too. Nothing to look forward to, that's for certain. ๐ However, we do need to know what's going on.

@jul1aorways no, it's funny that you laughed, and I definitely dont think your awful, i laughed after posting it, I can't half talk rubbish sometimes ๐ ๐คฃ. Posted somewhere about a leg of lamb and chicken that i won ๐. Just sat down for emmerdale earlier and neighbour banged on the door asking if I want a cat treat she'd bought for her cat by mistake. NOOOOH I DO NOT (i don't have a cat apart from a very sweet kitten/small cat keeps peering in the window one of my dogs goes absolutely ape at that). I actually said that's so kind asking but I keep my dogs on their same treats bla bla.
It is funny that I live in a tiny, tiny, one bedroom bungalow you'd think I live in a mansion the way people knock. I must be getting cantankerous in my old age (well, 62 ha ha) I'm rubbish when I've had no sleep and especially when feeling rough just want to be left alone.
I'm really glad you've felt better than recently it's good, when I have a good day it's like I can take on/deal with anything.
I seem to get stressed by nonsense things at the moment, had c 5 texts today reminding or inviting me to appts so just ignoring them today as overwhelming as I can't guarantee I can get to them or that they can help plus been majorly gaslighted by a certain section of 'healthcare professionals' so not in a good disposition to deal with that today. Hopefully I will tomorrow.
I hope you're having a good afternoon and that you have a lovely evening. I might watch coronation street soon so I can go bed early tonight. Do you mind me asking are you in south east or bolton? Absolutely no need to reply to that question!

I apologise about the late message as you want an early night. It couldn't be avoided I'm afraid.
Everything is alright with me though.
You've made me smile again, that's for sure. ๐คญ I liked the bit about posting that you'd won a chicken ๐ and a lamb.๐ฅฉ ๐
Sounds like you could do with a doorbell๐instead of having people hammering on the door. Before I met my partner, nearly four years ago I lived on my own after my marriage broke up. My partner answers the door now, which is a real help ๐ but then, I hated answering the door to delivery people (I do all my shopping online due to my ill health) when I was feeling off. It was very much better than having to go to town to go shopping but theres few things worse than waking up, half asleep (with my hair sticking up) to answer the door ๐ช to someone giving me strange looks.
It's what you have to do when your ill, as you know but you would think I'd just landed in a UFO by the looks of some of them. ๐ธ๐ At least I can see the funny side of it.
I don't mind you asking. I live in the South West in Somerset. Where abouts do you live? I don't need to know what town, just the county like me, with Somerset.
That's nice, what you've said about me feeling better. Thank you. ๐ I hope that we both don't feel too down when we watch the Spring Statement tomorrow though. ๐คฌ
It seems that if you're not getting gaslighted by the government or the local council, it's the NHS. It doesn't seem much to ask for people to be honest with you but they've all got their own agenda, with no respect for what you might need. ๐
I hope that you've had a good day apart from that yourself. I've managed to get quite a bit done for me, I don't want my partner doing too much as he's disabled too and I like to feel useful when I can.
Do take care. ๐

I want to say thank you to the people at SCOPE on this forum, last year one member of the team reached out to me, and helped me get referred to therapy, it was a process I didn't know how to start, but I've gotten a therapist now, and it's going well, it's nice to have someone to talk to face to face.

Aw please don't apologise I'm ok being messaged anytime and never expect or never would be offended if I don't hear back. I'm just getting the hang of all this as sometimes I couldn't remember which thread I'd wrote something on and think I hadn't replied at all to someone but I'd never purposely do that.
Aw, l a doorbell. Duh. I've honestly never thought of that. I don't know how they get fitted/to electric? etc but I'll Google that, thanks for the idea, i cant do diy. My older dog trys to batter one of his sisters when he's made to jump so I crate him when I know someone's coming but a doorbell could be the answer.
What a lovely part of the world you live in, I've never been, always wanted to go to Glastonbury for the festival and Stonehenge but too late for me now I can't even get round the corner!
I'm in Cheshire but from Manchester but lived in London for 20 years before moving back up North but am a Mancunian through and through ๐คฃ cont'd....

@jul1aorwaysSorry I got waylaid.. I sometimes wish i hadn't got rid of my husband (that sounds dodgy, I only divorced him ๐คฃ) . Got some energy assessment man coming between I think 12 and 5 so I'll probably miss some of RR's nonsense.
I was at a working man's social club in the late 1980s when I won a leg of lamb and a chicken in the raffle. The chicken was just in a carrier bag loose/raw, no cellophane or anything. I'd had too much to drink and when the cab pulled up at my mums where I was staying, the chicken fell out of the carrier bag into the bits of gravel on her Rd. I just shoved it back in the bag and put them in the fridge for mum. She never mentioned about the bits on it ๐คฃ๐คฃ, she's not here sadly anymore but it's one thing I'd like to have asked her.
They'd be too expensive now to be a raffle prize and don't think there's any working men's clubs anymore.
That's funny re ufo I probably look like that everyday. Glad I'm not famous and just a nonenity, can remember when Cherie Blair opened the door the day after the election in 1997. I'd have shouted go away or words to that effect ha ha.
I hope you have a lovely day despite the upcoming Statement and take good care ๐

Thank you for all the work you do giving us a space to be together online. It is so heart-warming knowing there's a safe place I can go.
