PIP Mandatory reconsideration

II have just received my dad's mandatory reconsideration notice back from the DWP and the dates of his award from and to are not his dates, everything on the notice, seems like they are talking about some one else, it has happened before, and they told me, it was sorted, it clearly is not, what do I do now?

HiHi, I have just received my dad's mandatory reconsideration notice back from the DWP and the dates of his award from and to, are not his dates, they are some else's and the decision maker, has not acknowledged his health conditions, it seems like some one else's too, and he says he has looked at his review letter that's completely dated wrong. I'm thinking now, that his MR has been mixed up with someone else's

As this has happened before I would make a formal complaint

II'm going to phone them 2 morrow, as all the dates are wrong, he has a review letter with the right dates, he did receive 2 review letters, within a month of each other, the first one was correct, the other, they acknowledged should not have been sent out. His mandatory reconsideration notice, we have just received has the wrong dates of award again, from the letter he should not have received. They have given him 2 points for a descriptor that's does not apply to him and totally left off points from descriptors that do apply to him. It seems by what the decision maker has said, it's some body else not my dad. I'm asking them to look at my documents I send in, as I believe they have looked at some one else's, it has all been mucked up, right from when the assessor sent over her report to them, I think they have not entered it all onto the system right.

Hi @Fink and welcome to the community. That's not good! If the information isn't correct, it's definitely worth questioning this with DWP directly. It's important your documentation is correct.

Keep very cool. Gather as much information as you can, preferably in writing to prove your point. Be polite, definite and don't back down. If they do not put things right make a formal complaint. Good Luck❤

II did exactly that, I have all the evidence, both letters and dates, I kept calm, I spoke to case manager and she could see the mistakes, she has sent them by email to her manager, that was yesterday, we are now waiting for her call back. I have already put it in writing, as a complaint, I'm sending that by post today, as it should have been sorted, when I phoned them, back in January. I will keep you updated.
