Benefit cap
Hi,
this may my a silly question but I have just been looking at my uc account and my partner claims lcwra. I noticed on the benefit cap part it says the benefit cap will not apply to me until the 12th November 2025. So my questions is, is this a random date or does it mean something? Why the 25th November?.
thanks.

Hi,
Have you recently stopped working yourself? There is a grace period that can apply to the benefit cap in this case.
However, with a LCWRA element on a joint account, you shouldn't be affected by the cap anyway. That sentence might just be automatically added for anyone on in the grace period.

I recently have been off work sick for 6 weeks due to health issues and have recently returned back to work full time but they have sent me a message on my journal to review my work commitments. Is this because my pay dropped because of ssp and will it be a simple phone call to tell them I am still in employment full time and just been off ill?. I normally earn above the amount each month to stop them bothering me with commitment meetings etc.

Yes, it sounds like the drop in earnings has triggered this review.
Hopefully it will be a simple call but I can't be totally sure of that.
