If found LCWRA, do they tell you the descriptor you qualified for?

Hi there,

How do you know which descriptor you had qualified for? Does that come in the decision letter or is the health assessor's report the only indication of where you sat?

Thanks.

I think from memory, it won't be on the decision letter, so you'd need to request a copy of the assessment report.

I have had the report back, but I can't see them specifically saying which criteria I've met for LCWRA (and yes, they found me to have LCWRA). Is there anything I specifically need to look for?

I'm still awaiting the decision from DWP though, but I imagine that if the assessor has deemed me as that the chances of me not being LCWRA is slim to non-existent?

Try using this guide and reading the report carefully, especially the end page.

Hi @Kimmy87 thanks for your message. I have seen some aspects of 'coping' issues and 'personal action' issues and it then says "meets criteria for LCWRA," so I assume it's probably both LCWRA descriptors that apply there for not coping with any change and also personal action?

Also if the assessor has deemed me as LCWRA, is it very likely that the DWP will go with that?

If I could ask, I told the assessor on the day also that I can't seem to cope with any change i.e. planned & unplanned but that I'm not in a routine at the moment due to sleep problems. It's correct that I still qualify? I just haven't seen them mention that specifically but my understanding is yes, I do qualify.

By the last paragraph: I mean that it doesn't have to be changes in a specific routine, it can just be any planned & unplanned change that isn't in a set routine?

You only need to meet one descriptor to receive LCWRA.

The DWP Decision Maker usually follows the recommendation, but not always.

Would the assessor only ever put you into one slot and not two if you qualify for two?

Because the threshold for LCWRA is one descriptor, it would be a waste of time for everybody involved to go any further.

If you qualify for two how does the assessor decide on which one also?

If you qualify for two how does the assessor decide on which one also? Or is it basically once the assessor finds out you qualify for one, they end the assessment there? Sorry for double post but we posted at the same time so I doubt you saw. Thanks for your help.

I believe once they find a descriptor that applies, the assessment ends.
