Strange Text Message

I have just received a text message from a +44 mobile number which read,Hi! Are you actively looking for a job right now?

Do you think that scammers are trying something after todays announcement?

    Hi @noman, Me and lots of people I know have had these come through on regular messages and through WhatsApp over the past few months.

    I don't think it's a new scam as I've had a few before all this stuff came out today, so it probably is just a coincidence that one came through after the announcement.

    I could be wrong though, would be interesting to hear if anyone else had them today.

    Just editing to add - a couple of friends who have had these messages are in full-time employment so I don't think it's targeting us folks on part time work or benefits!

    It shouted scam at me straight away when i looked at it,the way it was worded and from a mobile number.
