ESA/Pip Assessment

Hi everyone. Thank you for the warm welcome over the last week. I joined the community to gain some serious answers which i am glad to say, i have been given, so thank you for that.
This week has been kind of strange, because in my last post i told you all that i had failed to get ESA!! Well, on Monday 17th March i had a call from HMRCS about my ESA claim? The lady that called me, went through all the normal securities to ensure that she was talking to me and not someone else. She opened the screen up and she told me that the DWP had got things slightly wrong by looking at the wrong years for my claim? So, i went on to ask her about the years of contributions that i had been told weren't sufficiently paid up? She put me on hold for a few minutes…
The lady was very polite and certainly knew what was going on. She then informed me that the DWP had been looking at the wrong years and had given me the wrong information. The lady from HMRCS then informed me that i had full entitlement and they had sent an electronic notice back to DWP stating this.
Now? Yesterday, Tuesday 18th March, i had a nice surprise waiting in the bank of a back dated payment from last November 2024.
The ESA had made an overnight payment into my bank, without even letting me know or giving me an apology.
19th March 2025. I this morning have had my PIP Assessment which took an Hour and a Half. Bethany, the nurse who did the assessment, was so empathetic and lovely.
So, i now have got to wait for the outcome.
Take care.
Drew
