ESA to UC migration and assessment.

Hi everyone.
I recently got the dreaded migration letter, and although stressful, managed to get it sorted and the announcement of what i will be recieving is due on Monday.
I was previously on ESA and in the support group, and today i recieved a letter about new ESA and a work coach, and a "must attend meeting' letter will be sent out etc. Im now stresses and confused as i was told that being in the support group was a straight swap over and this wouldnt be needed.
Being fair, im also confused that im being migrated from ESA to UC but getting letters about ESA.
And of course I didnt notice the letter until just before bed, so wont be sleeping tonight.
Anybody else experienced this? Is it an error. Or am i going to have to go through sicklines and meetings?
Was on ESA (not the new style one) support group, get severe disability premium and pip if its relevant and helps answer.
Thanks

Yes this is very common, lots of people are mistaken about their ESA only discovering the truth when they migrate over.
I've answered this exact question many times this week.

Hi,
I'm on UC and New ESA. I've been told to tell ESA that I am on UC and that my UC will be reduced by the amount of ESA I am currently getting! This will mean a shortfall for me of about £350 per month!
I put on my Journal that ESA know i am getting ESA already. It has already been reduced after I told them about my work pension. I feel very afraid now.
I dont know how to put this as a separate post so I am writing it here.

You are correct that ESA will already know you have claimed UC.
When someone gets both New Style ESA and UC, the ESA amount gets deducted from the UC award. But you'll still get the ESA payments into your bank account every fortnight.
