1st fit note no mandatory 14 days switch off commitments

I am extremely stressed and confused.
On Tuesday I declared a health condition that does not affect my ability to work and then had a commitments review by phone a few hours later and agreed to commitments
After I had the phone call I was contacted by my doctor due to my health issues and they said they would be issuing me with a fit note and I would receive it Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday morning I made a 2nd health declaration and then submitted my fit note which was accepted.
But the manager of my local jobcentre says my commitments will not change, their will be no 14 day switch off due to it being a 1st fit note due to me having declared the 1sr issue the day before and then agreeing to commitments before I even spoke to the doctor and was then issued a fit note.
Is the manager correct?
I am so distressed, upset and the lowest I have ever felt.

Hi,
Sorry I don't understand exactly what's happened here.
Why would you declare a health condition if it doesn't affect your ability to work?

In the past I have been told having a fit note doesn't mean commitments are switched off and you are still required to engage with work coach.

this completely disregards the need of a fit note. it's a game to stop your benefits if you don't attent appointments. That is all.

IMHO NO. Can't remember the exact wording, but, your commitments have to be tailored to you and your circumstances. So, you have to make sure they fit you and demand them to be altered to suit, if not. Remind them, they have to fit you and its up to you to push them until they do.
