Hi, my name is petellay!

Hi my name is Pete. Even though I struggled for the last two years of my employment through disability ( spinal stenosis and prostrate problems etc.) I was determined to stay in work until my retirement date which was nearly three years ago. I was able to continue with my employment with the great help of my employers at that time..Disabled car space next to lift and only had to use a computer and CCTV at my desk. I was glad and felt independent to stay in work until my retirement.. Gone downhill a lot since then 😞.. Bit worried about these new PIP policies because at the time I got full mobility PIP which I use for my car BUT only 9 points for the home at that time and non above 3 so worried about this 4 points for one of the assement qualifications..would get the full today but you cannot change it after retirement age 😪

Hi @petellay and a warm welcome to the community!
It is a very stressful and unknown time for disabled people at the moment with the new reforms so it's understandable why you're feeling worried. You may be interested in the Green Paper Discussion and Spring Statement Discussion as members are chatting about the recent news there.
It's lovely to have you on the community and I hope you enjoy your time here
