Hi, my name is rachelw11!

can anyone advise me on a universal credit overpayment please. My partner was killed in 2006 leaving me with 3 children, as we wasn’t married I wasn’t entitled to any kind of bereavement benefits. A new law was passed In 2018 giving us unmarried parents the same right as married parents and I was awarded 2 years backdated WPA. One month later I received a letter from U/c stating I owed them £10000 as I hadn’t told them I was in receipt of WPA,I wasn’t I received one backdated payment and that was it. I sent this MR as dates they had were incorrect and I wasn’t in receipt of WPA, this was rejected so I’ve asked for a tribunal to look at it…well today I’ve received another letter now stating I owe £28000 overpayment as they believe I’ve Ben in receipt of WPA from 2018/2024 which I haven’t, I got married in 2020 and if you get married you are not entitled to WPA.. what can I do??DWPN won’t listern and they are getting all info off an inaccurate computer system.WPA stated this today ?? Any help pleasexx
