when is the universal credit health element being cut to 50% then frozen for new claimants ???

The government have expressed there intentions to do that, but it isn't yet set in stone. Thankfully, what they desire, won't necessarily see the light of day. Not without amendments.

Rachel Reeves has stated that the changes to UC health element rates will take effect in April 2026. These changes are expected to be made into law without any further public consultation, so they will likely go through Parliament smoothly, unless they are challenged politically or legally.
