    Hi @lisawells1990 ,
I am so sorry to hear about your agoraphobia. I can see why the idea of going to a Jobcentre in person might feel terrifying for you. I am not familiar with ESA or the UC transfer/ID check process, but I believe you can complete your identification online, according to information on the gov.uk website? I hope this offers you some quick reassurance.
I am sure some experienced Scope members will be able to offer advice regarding your husband’s ESA situation soon.

    Hi,

As you haven't confirmed ID yet, you should still get this weeks ESA payment.

DWP believes that an 'invitation' to a job centre is the support you need to to overcome your fears 😞

    And to add @WhatThe:

DWP Jobcentre work coaches across the country seem to be trained to do the exact opposite of promoting ‘inclusivity’ and ‘accessibility’-at least, that’s how it feels to many !

Isn't this their idea of equality? To treat us all the same? Like women's pension age had to be increased by 7 years to align with men's retirement age. That's 'equality' for you 😂

@WhatThe, spot on! Their idea of ‘equality’ just seems to be levelling the struggle, not the playing field!

I had a biographical phone call today from a man he asked me questions to confirm my identity which I did it is my husband’s turn on Wednesday so he has to confirm his identity. I had questions to ask instead of photographic ID or proof of address. It’s good I don’t have to go to the job centre as I did put in my journal that I have high levels of anxiety & agoraphobia which are fine, just my husband’s identity to go then the first payment is 3 weeks today
