    I did PIP online, so don't remember how long it was. The WCA was a paper booklet, so I could take my time filling it in.

    Hope you'll get your MR for PIP, and the WCA done before the evil changes come into effect.

    By the way, I knew that things would get very tough for us, when Liz Kendall got appointed as the shadow secretary for the DWP and that she said that she had always dreamed of becoming the secretary for the DWP one day, and that Labour won the last election, or the Cons lost it may I say, as people voted Labour just to get rid of the Cons and were not necessarily attracted to Labour.

    When she said that, in addition to her background, such as having been with Harriet Hartman the only two members from Labour who voted for the child benefit cap in 2015, and that she openly kept saying that she was supporting benefit cuts, it was clear to me that she was sharpening her knives and that she had this dreadful new changes in mind.

    I don't trust any politicians anymore, of any persuasion. They are all over privileged, over paid, clueless, expense claiming, wankspangles!

    I used to vote Labour, but at the last GE I voted the Greens just for the sake of not voting Keir Starmer's Labour, as I was seeing the writings on the wall - and I wasn't wrong, I guess.

    I remember when I did my PIP review…in 2021 I think…I asked the GP for a copy of my medical record and it still said awaiting outcome of autism assessment.

    …Which happened in 2005. They had the letter confirming that diagnosis, just had not put it on the system. Since 2005.

    They have now. They were good enough to apologise and send me an updated version of my medical record, thankfully.

    I have not even met my actual registered GP. I go as little as possible because the waiting room freaks me out, but every time I do go, it's someone different (or a paramedic or a nurse).

    I understand. The doctor I am currently seeing has been the best so far, but the GP that owns the practice is a nightmare - he misdiagnosed my mum with back sprain - she has spondylosis! Everything is a battle.

    At least you see your GP. At my surgery, we can only contact a GP via online consultation, and if we're lucky, we get a phone call to give us a link to book an appointment with any GP. And the appointment is usually a good few days away, if not a week or so, and it's a phone appointment and not a face to face one. Since the start of the pandemic, I only saw my GP once. And guess what - the surgery is less than10 minute walk from my home.

    @Enduring_Rogue Thank you for tagging me in with an update. I’m really sorry to hear about all the hurdles you’re facing at your GP surgery and the difficult experiences you’ve had.
    I’ve just read through your thread, and it’s clear you’ve taken all the needed steps based on the helpful advice from fellow members. I really hope your current doctor can provide a report that supports the points you’ve made in your UC50 form.
    I’m also sorry to hear about the long wait for a GP appointment—I know how draining that can be. Please try to hang in there and keep going.


    Good luck with your ADHD assessment on Monday and your GP appointment in May. Wishing you the very best with your WCA paperwork. I wasn’t sure if I got this right, but are you also waiting for a PIP review? If so, I’m sending best wishes for that too.


    I sent my own PIP review paperwork in September 2024. My original award was due to end in March 2025, but it’s been extended by a year to allow time for the review and assessment due to backlogs.
