hello @charsue just been through migration myself. I like you was very worried but got through it. I had to claim by 26th February, I started my claim two weeks before and did it online on the uc gov website it took me an hour or so. I completed all my form proof of I'd bank account details and then I had to accept the commitments in the to do list. I received my last payment for esa and HB then as I was on both IR ESA and CB ESA (I was not aware of this also, as letters always said IR) I then had a letter to say the IR part of my ESA was now paid via UC and the CB ESA will automatically go on to New Style ESA fortnightly payment paid alongside UC which is monthly. That was where I most confused as I asked for reasonable adjustment if they need to contact me to phone me rather than going to Job Centre. I also made a note on the journal to say that I was in the ESA support group so I don't have to provide sick notes due to Managed Migration, I had to do a phone call with the New Style ESA side to accept the claimant commitments for NS ESA which was very quick and agree to login to my UC account and complete any to do's in the list over the phone, that was it, as long as you can provide your I'd etc online it's very much straight forward. I got my first payment on 9th March was 5 weeks as completing the online form/account with a message on the 5th March in my UC Journal to check my statement for what I was getting. Please don't worry I know it's stressful I was too as long as you answer everything online you will be okay, good luck.

@charsue No problem, your very welcome I like to give my comment where I can help people on this site as it's been a great help for me and had the same anxiety about the move over to UC people at scope and members are so fantastic and I couldn't have done it without advice. Good luck

Citizens Advice offer a Help to Claim service, they can support you before, during and after your claim.
After claiming UC legacy benefits give one final payment (known as the run on payment) around two weeks later. This won't impact your UC award.
The best time to claim is one day after an ESA payment, this helps ensure that the run on payment is for the full amount.
