Paid full esa after uc migration

Well, I was on both income and contribution based esa. Then, I received the uc migration letter. I heard that the best time to make the uc application was the day after I get my esa payment and I would get full esa payment 2 weeks later.
I did this and I got it as expected. It's now two weeks later and I am expecting only the contribution portion of esa or £276.40 (and the uc portion as a monthly payment.)
I have checked my bank and I have got the full £318.10 again.
Why? Will they just deduct the extra from my first monthly uc payment?

Migration numbers have increased recently and this has caused more people not to have their ESA stopped at the correct time.
I personally only used to see this happening (via forum) rarely, now it's getting more and more common.
If you have been paid too much ESA, this will be deducted from your UC award.

Thank you Kimi. I definitely don't need to call them? And won't get in to overpayment problems?

No you don't need to call them, everything will be sorted out behind the scenes between UC & ESA.
Any ESA you are paid in error will be deducted from your UC award.

In my uc account there are two statements. The original says I will be paid £216 this month on the 21st. The revised statement has adjusted my payment to £169 taking into account that I was paid too much ESA recently. I have two concerns or questions:
- I checked my bank today and not only have I been paid already (early) but,
- They have paid me the £216 instead of the £169.
Can some please advise. Thanks.

If your payments were due either tomorrow or Monday then they will be paid today due to the Bank Holidays.
As Kimi says, any extra that you've been paid will eventually be deducted from a future payment. Nothing to worry about at this stage.
