New Style ESA payment?

I submitted my form from ESA to UC nearly 4 weeks ago. I just checked my bank account and I received another ESA payment of £281.10. I checked the new style esa rates from this month and it adds up.
Aged 25 years and over - £92.05
Support component - £48.50
I’ve had nothing on my UC since I submitted my ID 2 weeks ago? Can anyone help. My statement is due next Wednesday and my first payment is the 4th of May.

It's normal that you haven't heard anything from UC since confirming your ID.
If there isn't anything they want you to do, then sit tight and wait for your first statement.
Statements are often available 1-2 days before the official date, so it's worth checking.

confirmed letter I’m still getting esa. Why are they forcing people to move over if you’re still gonna be getting ESA. Very sneaky

The income based part of ESA has ended, so we've all had to move over to UC for the income based benefit.
But some of you were also getting a contributions based part of ESA. (We don't all get this, I don't personally). The contributions based part gets replaced by New Style ESA for those of you that were on it before migrating to UC.

I’ve never worked my entire life due to my disability. I thought NESA was for those who worked and paid tax?
ESA don’t make this clear. Everyone who was entitled to this should have been moved automatically.0 -
You were likely on Incapacity Benefit pre ESA, IB had special Youth Rules where you could claim without having worked.
As IB was a CB benefit, when ESA replaced IB people were moved to CB ESA with an IR top up if applicable.
Now CB ESA changes to NS ESA upon migration to UC.

It is now only for people who worked in the past few years. But as Kimi has said, it gets more complicated for people who were on Incapacity Benefit in the distant past.
I don't really know why they've continued it in this way after the migration, as it just gets deducted from UC anyway. Although you do get a higher class of National Insurance credits on NS ESA, those are unlikely to ever make a real difference to your situation or the benefits you can claim. The only possible positive I can think of is that if you get an inheritance or a lottery win that takes your savings over £16k, then you would lose UC, LCWRA and Housing, but would still get the NS ESA each fortnight.

Thank you for both of your replies.
I just got my first statement today.
It says:
entitled to:
Standard Allowance - £393.45
LCWRA - £416.19
Transitional Protection - £0.00
Your Universal Credit entitlement is not less than your previous benefits, so we have not added an extra payment.
what we take off:
ESA - £598.87
Total payment for this month is £210.77.
I also got a notifications which says some benefits might affect your claim which it mentions ESA.

That looks correct. I assume you weren't getting SDP (severe disability premium) with your ESA? In that case you are better off on UC which is why there's no Transitional Protection.
The other benefits notification is just automatically generated for everyone. There's nothing you need to do with it. They also send them again occasionally after a few months.

That's what I get as well since migration
I am waiting for PIP payments to start which I won on appeal

Nope wasn’t getting SDP. I was panicking a little bit with this but the whole process has been fine. No issues for me with this. Can finally get on with my life.
Saying that I did get a New Style ESA letter saying they’ll set me up an appointment to speak about it. I take it that’ll be on my UC account and randomly?

Good to hear it's all gone smoothly so far.
New Style ESA isn't actually managed through the UC journal. Though confusingly they can put the appointment letters in the journal. If you haven't accepted the NS ESA commitments yet, then that is all that will be needed at the appointment. Though I've seen a few of these letters sent in error recently, after the claimant has already accepted the commitments, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
