ESA plus lcwra.

Hi,
I've been awarded lcwra. I am also getting ESA rather than UC due to just applying for it without really realizing what I was doing.
The Lcwra has been awarded by UC. what's the best thing to do to get the most money? Tell ESA about the award and get I to all paid through ESA. Stay on ESA and get the extra with UC or stop ESA claim and get everything through UC?
im completely confused. If I tell ESA will I get the standard amount plus the Lcwra element, so £90 a week plus the £140 odd on ESA. Please help
Ps I need money ASAP!
Thanks
Joe

Because you have been awarded LCWRA, ESA will now award you Support Group. Extra money for ESA is paid from week 14 of your claim.
New Style ESA pays £281.10 per fortnight.
This works out at £609.05 a month (there are 4.3 weeks in a month)
UC Standard Allowance +LCWRA pays £823.41.
When both are in payment ESA is deducted in full from UC.
So your payments would look like:
ESA @ £281.10 a fortnight.
UC @ 214.36 a month
Total £823.41 a month.

Hi thanks. Does that mean I can just leave it as it is and I will get the right amount?
Cheers

I don't know what the procedure is for UC to ESA so to speak (I'm more familiar with the other way round).
So I don't think it would hurt to inform ESA of your UC LCWRA award.

That's the thing. I am on UC but was advised it wouldn't do any harm to apply for ESA by someone at the UC office. So I was getting UC and all of a sudden it stopped because of the ESA payments being taken out. I assume I would just keep the standard 180 per fortnight plus the UC office 420 per month which would be about sound the £800 per month mark but like you say it wouldn't hurt telling ESA so everybody knows what I should be entitled to a month.
Thanks
