Review request but want to close claim

Savings are from past 2 years and it's over 1600k but I am working 2 jobs and only getting low amount no other benefit so now I am worried not wishing to continue getting paid from uc and now I find out we have to declare uc savings which I wasn't aware. I am too much stressed

They will still wish to complete the assessment @imenah9. If you have been walking 2 jobs and managed to save over £16,000 in two years, with no rent entitlement, LCWRA or children, your monthly amount is possibly wrong. And once you hit £16,000 they should not have continued paying you at all.

Have you asked them to close your claim? When did they ask for your bank statements?

My claim sometime I only got paid 60 pounds from uc I left one job that was only for 1 year when they use to calculate they paid me less but i have no other benefits only one job now and I am planing to increase my work hours full time I was on l uc only for 1 year and half.

I wasn't aware of saving with declare with uc now I wish no longer to receive money from them and to close claim I cannot take stress of explaining to them my all savings is from work after tax paid.

Hi @imenah9 it sounds like you've done the right thing by making them aware, and asking for the claim to be closed. You mentioned they've requested bank statements in your other post and a review is booked in next week. I know you don't want to go into personal information, but it's important that you're open and honest with them. I'd suggest getting the statements together ahead of the review scheduled next week. You've mentioned they're aware of the saving situation so it might be a good opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a bit more information about what they plan to do with your claim. What day is your meeting?

They haven't spoke anything about meeting just asked to upload statements I am going through a lot of stress I have to apply immigration for my new partner so I have to stop all claims and benefits too on top I had savings I rang them everyday they not looking into my journal and claim I don't know why now I wish not to receive payment I don't know how to stop them I don't Wana be in overpaid list can you suggest something.i told them I no longer wish to receive only 100 or 200 as well it can be beneficial for someone else but don't know why they are not listening.

Sorry @imenah9 I thought I read on your other post you had a review in the next week or so. Although you may wish to cancel any future claim, if you've previously been claiming with over 16k savings that's a historic period where you may not have been entitled to claim so they may still wish to look into previous payments you've received before now even if you no longer wish to claim. I know it must be incredibly stressful, but I'd suggest sharing the information they've requested to avoid any potential further issues.
