LCW

please can anyone help? My husband has just been awarded LCW and has not got to look for a job or provide any more fit notes ( young onset Alzheimer’s).
My question is is the disability award means tested as we don’t receive any uc a I work 16 hours a week.
Thankyou in advance x

Was the decision Limited Capability for Work (LCW) or Limited Capability for Work-Related Activity (LCWRA)?
Do you currently have dependant children on the claim?
Is it your earnings that reduce UC entitlement to zero, or something else?

The letter says, We have decided that you have limited capability for work and work-related activity. we have no dependent children.

Thank you.
I'm confused because LCWRA is a UC term, and you say you don't get UC?
Could you clarify do you have an active, no payment UC claim?

What does all that mean? I was on ESA in the support group not looking for work and now migrated over to universal credit I assume in a support group not looking for work. My claim was made over phone, I don't have an online journal because of my memory issues. Have had lots of problems with universal credit saying they will call me on a specific date at around a specific time and them not bothering. They failed to add the housing element to my claim despite me having sent in all the paperwork they requested and it was only through speaking with someone at council tax that I found out through that person that the housing element had not been added and I was not being expected to pay the rent out of the low amount of universal credit they have allocated me much less than I received every 15 days on ESA. Universal credit have not yet returned all my documents to me. I have now requested they be returned several times. They are not reliable and treat people disgustingly!

If you are having problems with your claim and need advice, it's better to start your own topic.

Thank you.
All of UC is means tested including LCWRA.
What now happens to your UC claim:
He is entitled to LCWRA element which increases your award by £423.27 a month (before deductions).
The standard deduction for your wages of £0.55 for every £1 earned now starts after you have earned £411 (if claiming Housing Element) or £684 (if no HE).
His UC LCWRA decision will apply to his ESA, and from week 14 he will be placed into the Support Group. Payment is £281.10 a fortnight.
ESA will be deducted in full from your UC award, at a rate of £609.05. This is the monthly equivalent of a weekly benefit.
You can use a benefits calculator to estimate UC award with your new circumstances.
