UC

I recently got the UC migration letter and my UC claim has been approved. The amount I'll get per month is shown in my journal and I'll get my first payment by 8 pm on the 11th of May. My last ESA payment was on the 17th of April. Does this mean that on the 11th of May, I'll get a UC payment from the 18th of April until the 11th of may? Therefore making it a fraction of a full monthly amount.
I've asked in my journal, but I'm guessing there will be a delay due to it being a bank holiday and a backlog tomorrow.

Each UC payment is based on your circumstances for the previous calender month, known as the Assessment Period.
For you this would be beginning of April - beginning of May, with the exact dates of your AP noted on your first statement.
The final ESA payment does not impact your first UC payment.
If your first UC statement isn't yet available it should be very soon.
Do check through it as it's not uncommon for the first statement to be incorrect.
Because your payment date falls on a weekend, it will be paid Friday 9th May.

Thank you Kimi. I just found my statement and it says that I'll get a full month's money on the 11th. I'm clear on everything now and that I'll be paid on the 9th is most welcome, as I'm a bit short and after two advances (I should have requested one bigger one) during the migration period, I'm not entitled to another.

Glad I could help.
Anytime your payment date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, it will be paid the working day before.
