Assessment phase /working out rent

Hi, so I've migrated over to uc. My first payment is on the 22nd may. They've told me that my assessment phase is 16th (April) to the 15th (May).

I have two questions and would greatly appreciate some help.

My landlord has left me to work out the rent I owe, and going forward I will be paying him the rent of the assessment phases to make it easier to work out. So when I get paid I just take the full £1000 out for rent and give that to him. So when I send him the monthly rent, I will say here is a month's rent covering the date of.... (for example, next month, 16th May to 15th June). This is the same as housing benefit used to pay it and he is ok with this. So my first question is this when I pay that period, the 15th is the last day counted right? So that day is actually paid for in that period? Then it starts again on the 16th in the next period?

My second question is more complex, I'm really struggling to work out how much rent for this first period. There was a 2 weeks run on from housing benefit. And they paid me up to the 30th of April (so I'm guessing that included the actual 30th was paid for?). So I need to figure out how much to pay from the 1st May to the 15th May. Do I just work out how much my rent is daily and times it by 15?

Also, to make it even more complicated, I had paid my top £127.40 up to the 24th of May so I need to deduct that some how to. I knew it's confusing but if someone could help ild be so grateful.

    Sorry, just to add my hb was 201.37 per week.

    And the last payment they made which covered up to the 30th was £402.74

    Update: I've found a different way to work it out now.
    So paying from the 16th of April to 15th May (which is the same as my assessment phase) £1000 rent. But he's been paid fully by housing benefit and myself up to the 30th of April. So I just need to work out how much it is from 1st May to the 15th May. So what I did was figure out my daily rent amount (£1000 x 12 months % 365 days =£32.88) which is £32.88. £32.88 x the 15 days from 1st May to 15th May is £493.20. But because I had paid my top up in advance up to the 23rd May I need to remove that. I did that by finding my daily top up which is £4.19 (£127.40 x 12 months % 365 days =£4.19). Then £4.19 x the 23 days from 1st of May to the 23rd of May is £96.37. So take this off the rent due till 15th May (£493.20 - £96.37 =£396.83) leaves £396.83 left to pay.
    Then going forward from the 16th May to 15th June will be a straight £1000
