Big financial difference

Hi. I'm wondering if this is right and would appreciate any help you can give! I received my first UC payment and it seems that I'm nearly £300 a month worse off! They said there was a £208 extra involved in that because I'm disabled. Does this amount of £300 include my extra because I'm severely disabled? If not they have not mentioned it. Is this normal to get this overall amount a month? Thankyou!

Severe Disability Premium is not paid under Universal Credit.
If your UC award means you'd be worse off at the time of transfer compared to legacy benefits, Transitional Protection should be added to your award to match previous legacy benefits. Transitional Protection does erode over time as other elements go up or new elements are added.
It can be common for the first payment statement to be incorrect due to missing elements or Transitional Protection not having been calculated in time.
Would you be happy to post details from your statement?
If you use a screenshot please make sure any personal details are blacked out.

Ok will try but only have my phone. If it isn't added should I tell them in the journal?

Looks like it's missing LCWRA. That's another £423.27. (Assuming you were in Support Group of ESA?)
I'm not sure how they've worked out the Transitional Protection in this case, but it will need to recalculated after adding LCWRA.

Assuming you transferred from ESA Support Group, add a Journal note (using the payment option) stating you migrated from ESA Support Group and LCWRA element is missing.
They will add that on and recalculate TP.
You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed due to underpayment. The money will then be paid within a few working days.
