Migrating to UC and elements not being added

Hi,

I am about to migrate from ESA in a few weeks but seen quite a few people not being transferred correctly due to missing elements like ESA support group and SDP.

They are not being added as they can’t get ESA to verify award.

I have been advise to wrote the following when I start my claim under payments:
“I have migrated from esa support group under reg 19.
Due to this medical condition etc etc I have automatically qualify for LCWRA without an assessment.
Fit notes or work related commitments/meetings are not required.
Can you please verify this direct with esa. I would appreciate you doing so asap as I will not be providing fit notes”

But I wondered if uploading ESA entitlement letter, would also moves things on for us?

    ESA would still need to confirm your award behind the scenes.

    Anyway you cannot upload anything to UC unless a staff member creates an entry on your To Do list along with an upload link.

    I thought you could upload documents straight away, or are you saying you have to wait until verified?

    ID verification is separate, as you rent from social housing no tenancy agreement is required (UC will ask Landlord to verify the rent amount you declare when applying).

    So I can't see you'd need to upload any documents.

    I have been advised to upload evidence as it helps with the process of getting everything verified as quickly as possible, hoping your first statement will be more correct. As so many people have missing elements on their first statement.

    Suggested I upload PIP enhanced award letter for evidence for DM for extra bedroom used for carer and my SDP entitlement.
    Proof of non dependent also getting enhanced PIP.

    If you want to upload those things then you will need to ask after applying for UC. If UC agree they will create actions in your To Do list alongside an upload link.

    As you yourself get PIP then you won't also need non dependants award letter; yours alone is enough to exempt you from Housing Element non dependant deduction.

    There isn't any other reason UC would need to know about your non dependants PIP award.
