Oh bless her @Catherine21. Pets are such a huge part of our lives and it's horrible watching them get older knowing they won't be able to stay much longer.
I hope you get a bit more time with her and can focus on all the good memories you've had together. She's made such an impact on your life that she'll always be with you, even if one day she's only there in spirit and memory 💛

It's so sad @Catherine21, they're there for us every day of their lives with their loyalty and love, it's no wonder we find it so very hard.
Do you know that if you want to talk about it Blue Cross Bereavement have trained Pet Loss Support Volunteers; they let you talk about current pets/worries, anticipatory grief and even the pets we've lost before.
I've spoken to them a few times in the past and it's helped me quite a bit. If you want their number Catherine they're on 0800 096 6606, 0830hrs to 2030hrs everyday. They also have a Live Webchat if you want to talk that way, and a Facebook group.
Anyway, thinking of you Catherine and sending hugs and love to you, and litte Fifi ❤️ 💜 xx

Hi @Catherine21 I am so sorry Fifi is coming to the end of her life. I know how hard this can be having recently been through this myself.
Try and make the most of the time you have left. You have given her a great life and she could not have had better.
I do not think anyone that has not had a pet can possibly understand how devasting it can be.
Know we are here for you. I wish you and Fifi peace and best wishes.
Plese take care of yourself.

It's always sad when a pet is nearing the end of their life. They age at a faster rate, compared to humans. The most important thing is to create lots of memories with your pets and give them the same amount of love they give us. I'm sure Fifi knows she is loved and you gave her a good life, filled with love.

For me dear @Catherine21 it's always helped if I can speak to someone rather than just online. I pretty much have a hotline to Samaritans. I rang Blue Cross about my Snicket recently and about if i lose benefits how do i keep my dogs. I thought of volunteering for them but I can't. I'd be useless as I'd just cry at everybody's story. I cry at the thought of what you're going through with the thought of losing your little Fifi. I don't know how close to that you are, for me, whilst they're eating and drinking and peeing they're not ready to go but I'm also mindful that my Snicks has some level of distress. So it's not just about the above.
You care so much for others here Catherine and there's nothing I can say to stop the pain you are and will go through. Just know this: you love her so much and she will absolutely know that, whatever she's got going on and that's what's important.
We're here for you completely Catherine. Day and night. Please look after yourself too, as very best you can. With very much love and hugs always xxx

Hi
I am okay.
I am in a flare up with my fibromyalgia and fatigue but I find that trying to be positive and focus on good things that make me happy helps.
