New health conditions and UC claim review

hello… would be very grateful if somebody could help me please? I currently get LCWRA element on my UC claim so am I obligated to tell them about new health conditions or can I just wait until it’s reviewed?
When I did my PIP review a few months ago I added a new diagnosis that I got in 2023 but I haven’t let UC know. I just didn’t think to do it but now that I’m having one of the routine UC claim reviews that everybody seems to be having I am panicking that they will see that I have put it on my PIP claim form but not informed them.
Also does the UC review mean that my LCWRA will also be reviewed? I did leave a message in my journal to say that my condition had slightly improved a while ago and asked if I needed a review but I was told that I don’t and that it would depend on the government if it happened. It’s all so confusing at the moment with all the changes and review etc occurring in the benefit system. My anxiety is at an all time high with it all 😭
Thank you xx

Hi @amyflood245 - as you'll know, PIP & UC are 2 completely different benefits, & they don't 'communicate' with each other.
It will be fine to wait to mention any new health condition with your UC review, but it's likely just to check you're receiving the correct amount of benefit. LCWRA is an extra element paid in with your normal UC, so it's part of UC, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. They just seem to be asking about any bank accounts you might have, & do you have any other savings elsewhere.
Any changes, if they happen, to UC are a while off, so please try not to worry if you can.

hello and thank you for your response! I feel a little better now knowing that… when I got the notification in my journal the other day that they were doing a review I panicked thinking had I done something wrong but then after looking in to it I see everybody seems to be getting one. My husband works full time but I can’t due to my health so if we lost the benefits we wouldn’t survive which I’m sure is the situation that a lot of people are in ☹️ xx
