Council tax hike after migrating to UC

I have gone from paying £32 monthly under IR ESA to £130 a month on UC. My council counts all UC as income, with 50% of LCWRA counted as income.
I think this is intentional and being fine quietly. How can you only get 25% single person discount along with 15% for LCWRA but housing element and all other UC is counted as income.
wgy isn't anyone protesting about this rip off by many councils?! It's so unfair that money I previously used for my disability needs will now have to go to C/Tax when nothing has changed, apart from being forced to move to UC.
disability charities should tease this issue. It's bad enough coping with daily living and extra costs for people with disabilities. This is on top of the proposed welfare cuts designed to punish disability and push us into poverty.
I can't even get discretionary help as that's reserved for people struggling with rent in my area. The system seems to be designed to make it as tough as possible for people in UC and dealing with a disability and chronic illnesses to survive.

The same thing has just happened to me. I have gone from 100% help to 10% overnight and now have to find £128 a month council tax for a band A property in a relatively poor area.
I received £235 transitional protection payment and more than half is going toward council tax. What is the point of this ? I would rather get less from DWP in the first place than give all this to the local council who seem to make it up as they go along. I'm sure the DWP could use this money too. I really don't understand this !

How come I pay less than you while I live in a band D property in an area considered one of the most expensive areas in London!!

That sums up how crazy it all is. I believe councils aren't limited by how much they can increase council tax any more.….or the decrease of support level % rates / groups.
