Cool as a Cucumber π

Look what arrived! π
I got them because I see so many people suffering in the heat.
So I bought 20 of them to hand out to people. No ulterior motive, I was raised right. Plus I don't need gifts to be a smooth {redacted} π
Kind of unlucky the weather has took a turn for the worse, but plenty of sunny days to spread the joy π

Oh that's lovely of you @Wheeled_Weapon I think the world needs more people just doing nice things for others for no reason. Eventually the niceness will become contagious and everyone will see it as a normal part of daily life. π

Thatβs so amazing, kind and generous of you!.
I struggle with the heat so I would have been over the moon to have been offered one.1 -

@Albus_Scope @Pickle72 @GalDriver
My philosophy is that I've seen so much suffering and endured so much myself. I can't heal the world, but I do my small part.
My happy little conversations I have with people, my irreverent (and sometimes inappropriate) sense of humour, even a smile, well it spreads happiness.
After being made to feel worth less than nothing from an extremely abusive lifetime, not only have I found myself again, I've discovered a side of myself that was always there, but hidden away deep within me.
It's easy to see the world as a horrible place full of horrible people and that can easily become confirmation bias, but if you start looking for the good in people it's actually really easy to see.
I talk to anyone, some of my favourite people to speak to have been the people that a lot would cross the road to avoid. They always have something interesting to say and are actually the least likely people to 'see' the wheelchair. People see past the wheelchair pretty quickly with me anyway.
There's always going to be the odd one though - A guy in an electric wheelchair scowls at me whenever I go to the pub for my breakfast. Why? Because I held the door open for him a few weeks ago rather than let it slam in his face π€£ He growled "I can do it myself." I replied "I'm sure you can, but I'd hold it open for anyone else." He hates me for that π€£ I'm going to throw a sausage at him the next time I catch him giving me the evils π€£π€£ (Not really, I'm not wasting a sausage, maybe a hash brown or a mushroom π€£).
I'm definitely not a pushover and I have strong boundaries (with a soft edge) but kindness costs nothing and living life this way is beneficial for my own healing and mental health too.

Absolutely! I'm a grinner, chatter to everyone (like you, especially the ones avoided by others - they're often the best conversations, aren't they?)
You are helping the world go around, friend.
