Poor quality careers

My mother in law came out from hospital a week ago with a reablement package of 4 times a day and over night sleep in for up to six weeks she never should have come home as she is very ill. Any way the Carrers never turn up on time and some times never come they speak very little english its difficult to speak to them and when they do come they walk in ask if she is ok and leave when they do actually do anything its terrible example is defrosted food put on a plate un cooked fish and chips to be eaten medication given at the wrong time or not at all male Careers say they cannot wash her.We have been given a number buy the Hospital to phone the company to complain but it does not take in coming calls phoned Social service they said they would phone back never did hospital not interested we do not know what to do as no one is interested

Hi @answeryou that sounds terrible, I'm really sorry your mother in law is experiencing this. Have you raised your concerns with the company who employ the carers?

Hi you must report the care company to the care quality commission and let the care company know you have done it. Then things should improve once you report them. Care companies are frightened of the CQC.

The Carers are employed by the NHS because it's reablement but they are not interested in are problems they just wanted to free up a bed they said contact the Care company to complain but the number they use does not take incoming calls just plays music when you phone
