I've just lost my post for the first time - another 2 pages.

Frustrating.

Here's a shorter version

Buddhism mantra

''Extend the Vajra wall of determination.''

Please Google this for the full inspiring mediational, compassionate meaning.

We need to see this campaign through to the - not bitter -end??!

I am joyful.

We do not need this oppressive welfare bill, we have won major concessions, now we need to keep writing to our MPs

Please Google ''findyourMP''

We may yet win all of this campaign not to create a 2 tier system of disability benefits, so…

Please keep writing to your MPs, the media, ask scope for template letters, which will complement your individually composed letters to MPs and media. We need both!

This why we need PIP for expensive mishaps of discrimination like this to cover the extra costs.

I want to thank people on this forum, from the bottom of my mind-heart

for their courage, support, compassion ,for sticking with it as its HARD campaigning, but the 'impossible' can be won, for their sensitivity, mutual solidarity, wisdom, compassion, inspirations, quotes, optimism against the odds, persistence, patience, intelligence, humanity, non machoism, turning weakness into strength, demons into diamonds, love, interest, time and trouble, for being marvellous wonderful human potential human beings, for growing and developing, for recognising and accepting the challenge of crisis, poetry, wisdom, turning it into opportunity, and no bull I could write another page to compliment you all,. We are disabled people but still able important, not animals, and we are rising up with sweet reason, and rhetoric. We can WIN THIS

YES WE CAN AND WE DESERVE TO ,

SO

GO TO IT AGAIN, REDOUBLED

Heathrow needs to improve treatment of disabled passengers

Metro Thursday June 26th 2025

Heathrow airport 'needs improvement' in how it handles disabled passengers, a regulator reports.

Edinburgh and Glasgow Prestwick airports also 'clearly had more to do' in how they provided support to those with reduced mobility, the Civil Aviation Authority found. Fourteen UK airports were rated as 'good' and 11 as 'very good'. None was classed a s 'poor'.

The CAA's Selina Chadha said: 'We believe the entre industry should be behind the goal of making aviation accessible to all.'

In the report, Heathrow –the UK's busiest airport – was found to have 'discrepancies' between its data on waiting times to provide assistance at terminal3, and what was observed.

Heathrow's chief operating officer Javier Echave said it made 'significant strides in enhancing our assistance service' since the audit late last year.

' We are investing in new equipment, introducing designated security lanes, and expanding airport support to help passengers with assistance needs to travel more independently,' he added.

Earlier this month, BBC journalist and wheelchair user, Frank Gardner was forced to wait 95mins for a medical lift after his flight arrived at Heathrow's Terminal 5. the airport apologised and said the delay was caused by its assistance provider dealing with a medical emergency.

The CAA said Edinburgh airport had not met its standards for providing assistance in a 'timely manner', but the issue ' now appears to be resolved.'

Edinburgh said it invested more than £6m in supporting passengers with reduced mobility.

Glasgow Prestwick said it was 'actively working' to meet its obligation to consult with disabled groups.

The CAA said UK passengers who requested assistance increased from 4.6m to 5.5m last year 203],or 1.9% of all passengers.
