Using two accounts and asking multiple variations of the same question is confusing.

As you have a lot of different questions. It might be easier to book a session with a professional benefits adviser who can answer all of your questions at one time, instead of asking them all separately on here and having to wait a long time for answers.

To answer this question though, the second property will usually be counted as a capital asset. For Pension Credit, capital over £10,000 creates a deduction of £1 per week for every £500 over. The value of the second property is likely to completely wipe out the pension credit so they would not get any. There are some exceptions to that, but you would need to speak to a proper benefits advisor and provide then with personal details for them to confirm.

if i was you i would make an appointment with an official advisor as has been advised you appear to be going round in circles and getting nowhere with your different scenarios

Your friend and his wife would both have to claim Universal Credit as a couple if they live together. Their main home is not considered as capital. So as long as they have income and savings below the thresholds, then they would be entitled to Universal Credit.

They will not be entitled to any Housing payments towards a mortgage. Those only apply to renting.

I am not sure what your exact question is regarding work and LCWRA. But if you're asking whether you will be forced to do mandatory work while claiming LCWRA then the answer is no.

    Hi

Thank you to overlyAnxious for your reply. I was saying about previously that is regarding lcwra. The goverment planning to bring chance to work gaurantee i have link below i am just cant understand is that link saying that exsisiting people who is on lcwra will they need to do chance to work gaurantee or is that option if the people whos on lcwra they have choice to do chance to work gaurantee? Thanks https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/news/dwp-announces-major-wca-changes-new-esa-and-uc-claimants-2025?srsltid=AfmBOooBvUQy3SXGOPS-dD22oRSVkPSwZdxbLngX_8t-IZuAmGjJbIce

It is a choice. It just means that if someone on LCWRA wants to try work, they will not lose their benefits immediately. They will be given the chance to try work first, to see whether they could manage it over a longer time or not.
