Migration esa to uc mixed aged couple

Finally did this today with help from a charity support worker. 3 hrs of absolute confusion, codes back & forth on mobiles & emails. Then the ID proof, was a total joke, 3 options passport, drivers license or credit agreements. Only had passports, the credit questions we failed as addresses mentioned we'd never heard of & no option to say "not related to any of above addresses". Asked about credit cards & we both know we have applied in the last year, after that question it just jumped to you will be called in 2/3 days.
Then a message came through a call for me at 2.15pm on 9th & 2.50pm for my husband. The help to claim line was rung to ask what would be asked, to be told the same questions as online!
So I give up. No idea whats going on, no idea if or when I'll be paid next or rent or council tax. Didnt upload tenancy or rent as wasnt asked & no option to do so.
Also waiting on my husbands 3 monthly cancer scan to see if treatments working & thats still not back & yesterday I had scans for uterine/ovarian cancer.
To say our stress & anxiety levels are high is an understatement. We both suffer with brain fog, my husband more so since the cancer, so whatever they ask him I'll have help him answer.
This whole process is not fit for purpose & as made both of us feel even more ill & stressed than we already are.
I just wanted it over today & got to wait until next Weds for calls which we have no idea are about.
I wish we'd done this over the phone & insisted on a home visit. Cant see any light at the end of the tunnel...stress, worry, anxiety, fear & just had enough....
If anyone as had one of these calls could you let me know whats needed please, as I'm typing & crying as lifes just so stressful & scary at the minute, I'm at the end of my tether

Hi @Tillyboo - I'm sorry you had such difficulty with trying to confirm your ID online, & that you'll have to wait until next week to do this by phone instead. I'm sure the wait is the last thing you want with all you're going through, but the phone call should be fine.
They can't tell you beforehand what will be asked, as they just need to confirm you are who you say you are!
You'll just be asked questions that only you would be able to answer, & most of our members have found this a very straightforward short call, & the person that rings helpful.
You might be asked what benefits you claim/when did they start/do you have a mobile phone contract & when did these start/what was your last address, etc?
These are just some of the questions our members have been asked to give you some examples. It will be OK.

Hi @Tillyboo
Sorry to hear this, it sounds like a very stressful situation for both you and your partner. I see Chiarieds has given some good advice so I won't add much else but I really hope the calls next Wednesday go well

Hi, I have just gone through all of that too culminating in a ten minute phone appointment with a lady about 'New style ESA' . I had worked myself up and my breathing and anxiety was pretty rough but as it turned out the lady was nice and helpful and actually calmed me down a bit. I just will have to see whatever they decide upon now I suppose.
In the end I just wanted to say hang in there. We seem to have to go through so many stages including have to go to a jobcenter to prove my ID , and then it all seems to reach an anti climax when you hopefully reach the end. So I can relate to your post entirely so you are not alone.
