Advice needed couple moving from ESA to UC

Hi, was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what happens next.
Myself and partner both on enhanced rate of PIP are/was in receipt of ESA support group and rec managed migration notice. My partner was main claimant of ESA, We both applied for UC on line as required. I passed the identity check but my partner (main claimant for ESA) failed and requires a home visit to confirm identity. We were told this can take weeks as their busy!
My questions are: do we both still continue to get ESA until my partners identity is confirmed? or do UC pay me? while my partner still gets ESA? Does Housing benefit continue to get paid forbus bothuntil my partner passes ID check? Or does it stop because I passed the ID check or does it continue as its a joint claim?
It's all very confusing and I feel there's been nothing managed by this migration other than I'm managing DWPs incompetence! If they don't have the resources to carry out home visits for ill and disabled people in a timely manner so their not out of pocket, then they shouldn't have rushed through the migration and stuck to the original plan of 2028
