I take it, it's a no!
Hi all
I called the DWP today for an update on a new pip claim. The guy told me a decision had been made yesterday, he couldn't tell me what, but a letter has gone out in the post. I assume based on this, I haven't been awarded as most people get a text message, and when they call the DWP, get an automated message with their next payment.
Thanks

Hi @JasmineBell, it's difficult to say for sure either way but I wouldn't imagine they'd only text successful claimants. Especially since the text is just a notification of the decision and doesn't specify whether it's successful or not. Sorry, that's not much of an answer, but I wouldn't be too disheartened at this point. Fingers crossed you receive your letter soon.

Is this your first claim, not that it matters. The DWP don't tell you what their decision is over the telephone normally, but have done on the odd occasion. The decision letter can take two weeks. I can't comment on the text message as I never got them. The automated line is not always accurate. Try again at a later date. I know it is an awful time waiting, but try and keep calm. Please keep us informed if you want to and we will help where we can.
