Hi. I'm new to this but could really use some advice, please. (Its a long one, sorry)

I applied for LCWRA but was only awarded LCW so am now in the process of a awaiting a tribunal date. (I did all the MR/appeals etc)

I currently am employed but been signed off sick since March but have a long term health issue and am in receipt of PIP.

I currently use an electric wheelchair for long distances but was asked if I could use a manual one. I assumed i could but when I tried, it aggravated my issues so the answer is now 'no'.

What do I do about this and about work? If I hand my notice in, will I get a new WCA?

If I tell UC I can't use a manual wheelchair, will I get a new WCA?

If I ask for a new WCA but it nothing changes, will my original appeal still go ahead?

TIA

Meant to add that the report writer suggest i had significant disabilities with mobilising and sitting but this could be overcome by using a manual wheelchair

Hi @lola2024 I'm really sorry that you haven't had a reply to this yet. I don't believe that handing your notice will impact your current WCA award. With regards to the manual wheelchair, it's difficult to say whether or not that will force a new WCA however, if your situation is in actual fact worse than on the current one it might be beneficial to raise it, even if that means a new WCA. If you were to request a new WCA, that would cease the appeal on the current one. However if you went through the process of a new WCA review and were rejected, you should still be able to request a mandatory reconsideration on the new one.
