Feeling anxious following assesment

hi. I had my Lcwra assesment 15/7. I called ESA to inform them I don’t seem to get letters from them and when I do they arrive 8-21 days after posting. The advisor has left a note to DWP about this and asked for them to call me as it’s unfair to leave me waiting that long after a decision.

Anyway. I was wondering how long did YOU personally wait for a decision after assessment? I know it can vary and I’m not going to take it for gospel don’t worry! Just trying to kill some time talking.

Could anyone also let me know if they were placed into support group for bipolar and/or incontince…

incase you can’t tell I’m a bit of a worrier. I know I’ve just got to wait but it drives me mad. I’m a bag of nerves on the daily. I’m hoping for support group so I can finally get some private therapy. I did explain this to my assessor who seemed pretty genuine.

Anyway, I’m rambling now. Hope everyone’s ok!

not to worry you but i waited 2 years for a decision after asking multiple times for updates. in the end i had to contact my local MP and had the decision back the same day. The system is broken.

Official timescales for a decision are anything up to 12 weeks. Some people hear within days, others have to wait a few months.

It can vary wildly. For me it was 2 days. But as mentioned above it can take weeks. The time waited is not an indicator of what the outcome might be

thanks all. I’m trying not to think about it but finding this “sit and wait” bit hard! We will see. My assessor did say “I wouldn’t worry too much about it all in your case” so who knows!
