Hi, my name is india69! Am I still entitled to council tax reduction after migrating to UC?

Hi all,
I have moved into a council property 2 weeks ago & I am on ESA support group income based & PIP highest benefit.
I also have been receiving housing benefit & council tax discount for my previous private rental. My son works part time & is also my primary carer as I have a chronic illness. The council sent me a bill for the council tax asking for the full yearly tax without any discounts. Is this correct as I have also just had to migrate over to UC & will not know the payment amount t until the 9th August. Would they have made a mistake as the UC is still in progress It's like a minefield & I am concerned.

Council Tax Reduction is decided on at a local level and each local authority has different rules. It's very hard to advise on individual cases from here.
Some local authorities do treat UC differently to legacy benefits and some people have seen the amount they have to pay towards Council Tax increase.
Additionally some local authorities have started counting PIP as income.
It's best to contact them, and seeing what income details they have used to calculate your bill.
It may all change again after your first UC payment statement.

Thankyou all for your support & advise.
I'm so stressed & worried about the migration to UC.
having moved within 4 days & dealing with all the necessary paperwork & benefits & concerned if I will be worse off plus I'm suffering again with insomnia so have t slept in 11 days. They paid 90% of my private rental & 75 % my council tax . Now it's all changing & I don't know where I am with it all.
plus I had my PIP RE-assessment in February where not much had changed & I still have not heard from them 5 months later. Everything is on standby.0 -
also the council tax bill I received stated year 25/26 0 balance owed.
Then On another page it has direct/debit amount to be taken starting from August next month which is almost 4 x what I was paying before.
