If your carer of a year disappeared without responding to emails and phone, what would you do?

I haven't seen mine since 12/6. There are a few items here.

I suppose that would first depend if/how you employed them jackfruitteal86.

Then I guess another question is can you cope without them?

How did you first meet them?

    That may be key...

    🤔

Hi @jackfruitteal86, welcome to the community. It's strange that they cared for you a whole year and just disappeared without contact. Have you been managing okay?

Is this a paid carer? For example, someone you've hired yourself or someone who came from a company or social services?

If you're struggling without them it may be time to make some calls to see if someone else can be put in place.

Hope you can get things sorted soon, that's a long time to go without care.

I have his CV, address, his driving and licence history, his certificate of not being arrested.

I had applied for motability and accepted, and he was the only driver, so I have to sort that out, but not yet.

I have had no replies, not even acknowledging the week's pay, though it has been taken, because I pay via paypal and keep a record.

I have no rights to search because we are not related, and even then, I would only be told if he is alive.
