we are getting moved to univeral credit i am my wifes carer and she gets esa income related with a number of other components carers premium severe disability premium extra because she is in support catrgory

Under UC I'd expect your award to be made up of:
Standard Allowance couple rate
LCWRA (your wife)
Carers Element (you)
Housing Element (if applicable)
Child element (if applicable).
Transitional Protection (likely)
Transitional Protection is added if your total UC award is lower than legacy benefits. This ensures at the time of transfer you aren't worse off. Transitional Protection does erode over time as other elements go up or new elements are added.
No premiums are paid on UC so Transitional Protection would be the replacement.
Carers Allowance will be deducted in full (£353) after your eligible entitlements are added up.
