For anyone's information, the purported 4/5 star hotels, where asylum seekers are housed, are in fact buildings that once used to be hotels but are now nothing more than holding facilities, where asylum seekers are sharing rooms by four and even more.

Poor asylum seekers are scapegoated not only for the country's own political ills, but also those who are profiting from asylum seeker accommodations, such as the infamous known as "the asylum king".

Ask yourself, how could an ordinary hotel, even a B&B, which is supposed to accommodate tourists and other people on short stays, function while housing destitute people roaming around, which would need either a canteen or kitchen facilities in their individual rooms!

They're housed in 4/5 star hotels rooms costing each room £X00 a night is completely rolex.

Stop being part of a media gaslit nation. You've right to use your brain.

I agree. Hotel accommodation is unsuitable, both practically and ethically. But what do you think the government should do instead? Recent EU approaches lean towards collective reception centres and accelerated processing rather than community based models. I’d genuinely like to hear your thoughts on a workable alternative, one that balances scale, safety, and humane treatment. Should we be looking at the upcoming EU wide framework shaping asylum accommodation and processing in the coming years?
